The battle system is something completely different and utilizes the touch screen properly. The graphics are beautiful. Im more than half way through it and am still surprised at every turn and have not been able to or wanted to play anything else. Just completed the game at level 65. Story line may be abit linear but nonetheless an excellent work in game play. never even access into IAP for anything and I cleared the game which is a plus. TIPS:learn the skills, regeneration 2(or 3) and Smash asap for easy op  Alex CAO

"In Drakerider you ride around on a dragon completing tasks and doing battle. The fighting system is a little different than most RPGs. You keep control of your dragon mount with the reins when you need more control, but ease up to allow it to attack enemies. However, going too far will cause the dragon to turn against you. Being an RPG, there is also a leveling system to improve your dragon's abilities.

Drakerider doesn't come cheap, but Square Enix games are a rather niche experience. Not everyone will want to play such an in-depth RPG on a mobile device. It sure does look neat, though." -androidpolice.com 

Game System
- The battle is in your hands
Tighten or loosen your grip on the reins by sliding the chains at the bottom of the screen. The gauge at the top of the screen represents its tension. Ease off to unleash powerful attacks and abilities, but give your dragon too much freedom and you will lose control. If you're not quick to pull back the reins, he will turn against you.
- Develop your dragon's abilities
Claim victory in battle to earn CP, which you can use to learn abilities and powerful attacks. Unlocking some abilities will close your path to others, so plan carefully and customize your dragon to suit your needs.
