The app does what you'd expect. It performs its toolbox functions capably, like many, but has the edge due to a pleasing overall color to the output, as well as idiosyncratic behavior (eg delay rendering behavior) that gives it a fun and slightly unpredictable character. The few UI based workflow snags are probably endemic to the smartphone/tablet form factor. I probably wouldn't be so giddy had there been an invasive/annoying reg process, but everything is no nonsense iirc. -Zack
I've had excellent success with this sequencer. There are plenty of new sounds available on the Play Store, and it's very easy to create and import your own sounds. The only thing I feel like it's missing is a piano roll. Then again it's not so much music creation software as it is a simple sequencer, so in that regard Electrum Drum Machine/Sampler is actually quite brilliant. I just recently used the MIDI controller functionality with an MPK. MINIIf you're unfamiliar with this type of software just follow the tutorial in the program. -Mark
I've been using Electrum for a few years now, and I have to say it is, hands down, the best drum machine app available. It's simple to use and sounds great. Add to that the fact that the developer is super-responsive and you've got a golden product. -Sean
