I've used Locale ever since I heard about it as a science project back when it was free. I always had issues with inappropriate sound levels whilst at work or in meetings and this solved those issues completely, then continued to solve many problems I didn't even know I had. With the progress of time and more improved features it's become something I have had consistently on every phone I have ever had. I've tried alternatives but Locale maintains a good balance of features and friendly UI. My life is noticeably affected when I don't have this enabled.
