Q. My songs are missing from folders/library.
A. Please ensure you have all your folders with music actually checked in Poweramp Settings => Folders and Library => Music Folders.
Your original Android Library is not changed, nor any files deleted.
Poweramp library is a separate, completely independent library. When you installed Poweramp 2.0, it just got filled with the files scanned from your sd card/other flash memory, as specified in Music Folders.
Q. Volume too low. Volume changes weirdly. Other volume issues.
A. Try to disable Direct Volume Control in Poweramp Settings => Audio => Advanced Tweaks.
Poweramp 2.x uses Direct Volume Control by default on 2.3+ mid-to-high end devices. On stock ROMs this produces much better audio output. But many custom/buggy ROMs, while supporting DVC, can fail with it.

I first tried Poweramp because Google seems unwilling to fix their own player's inability to read a simple playlist file. (I can understand that Google wants us to use their web sync but that's no reason to cripple a basic function on their own player.) Anyhow, I liked this one so much I paid for the full version and have been using it for a couple of years now. (And no, Google still hasn't fixed reading a playlist file after all this time.) -George
Tag Trouble with Poweramp Full! Scrobbling is important to me but dozens of tracks that formerly had their tags correctly recognised now display "Unknown Artist", "Unknown Album" and are not being logged at Last FM. I don't know what the rejected songs have in common and can no longer edit tags conveniently in the app on the phone. Wish I'd had the foresight to save the older apk. EDIT - I think a ''Full Rescan" has fixed this. -Nickel
Wish it had some upgraded UI/UX elements though. Like immersive and easier navigation. Also, queue clearing after play. Themes are okay, but you guys should definitely look into material design. -Aman
