The developer actually listened to a little feedback I gave adding the one tiny function I missed (optional night mode in stead of astro mode toggle in persistent notification). Lux was already very full featured, but this makes the app perfect for me!
Lux Auto Brightness solves a number of problems. it increases brightness to he max when you really need it (outside sunny), and it lowers brightness below your phones minimum in the dark so you can use your phone at night. David

Thanks for giving me complete control over my light sensor. Requires alot of time experimenting to get the optimal settings, but that is the nature of apps like these, so I can't hold that against it. Tye
