It runs faster and has many options but it takes a bit of trial and error and tweaking to get it right. But once you do it is much smoother than epsxe or other psx emulators. I have been playing final fantasy IX with no problem and very good HD graphics on my Galaxy S5. -Joshua
"I had FPse on my PDA way back when porn had pubic hair and my cpu was only 400mhz. Amen for quad cores and opengl mode. WipeoutXL works better than it did on the ps1. Ps3 controller works great with Galaxy S3 if you have an OTG cable. Ps: Oddworld works smoothly after switching on ES2 blittling in misc menu." -Ben
"Games run fast but some audio slow downs as well as minor texture and shading glitches prevent this from getting a 5 star rating. It still needs some work to match PC quality." -Judge
Fpse was the first PlayStation emulator I purchased, followed by Epsxe (The only 2 emulators out there that work). The only reason I got the other emulator, was so that I could play FF7 with decent audio and video quality. But, After the latest update, FF7 plays without a hitch. Zero lag, great sound emulation, better speed across all the games I own and play. -Travis
I have been using Fpse for years and aside from touch controls, it's fantastic. Now I have an xperia z3v which links up seamlessly with my ps4 gamepad via Bluetooth. Add the controller phone mount and this is portable retro gaming heaven. -Nathan

one that works for most emulators is the American version, SCPH1001.
Try that BIOS file unless your emulator specifically states otherwise.
Unzip the downloaded file. Take the BIOS file (which ends in .bin) and place it in the same folder as your ROMs. Upon starting up your emulator, you should be prompted for the PlayStation BIOS file. If not, simply select it from the ROM selection screen in the emulator.
